One of Jim's favorite places to play--he just did an outdoor Hawaiian "Lu'au" here a few weeks ago(complete with Don Ho and Elvis hits!) and today plays the annual Labor Day picnic on the grounds of Cathedral Village... Jim has played this venue several times over the past few years for St. Patty's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and other seasonal functions as the residents have enjoyed his performances and requested him back again and again; this year marks a series of brunches he has also been playing along with major events.

At Cathedral Village, their Concert Committee invites quality musical artists to perform in their auditorium, Cathedral Hall. Once a month, classically trained musicians perform live for their residents using an array of instruments such as the violin, piano, and cello. Most of the professional musicians who visit have traveled the world performing with major orchestras. They also showcase up and coming award winning musicians. Their monthly concerts are one of the most popular events. Attendance is high and the reviews are always flattering.

Cathedral Village, a nonprofit, nondenominational and multicultural CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) is located in the residential neighborhood of Andorra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since opening in 1979, their Board of Directors, management and staff, have dedicated their time and efforts to creating a unique, active, and secure environment for their residents.
