Back in 1999 when Ricky Martin was the rage, I caught a live TV special of Ricky in concert and when it was over, fresh from the Latin experience--I picked up my acoustic guitar and wrote this song! Dana Fehr, the young engineer at Signal Sound Studios in Quakertown(now a San Diego resident), told me this was his favorite track on my CD--and he was more of a "grunge rocker!" It's the only tune the band recorded LIVE in the studio without a "click track"(which gives the drummer a uniform beat similar to a metronome)...for recording buffs--the song was also recorded in B flat minor and mechanically slowed down to A minor for the recording to accomodate the sax lead--this has been a very fun song to perform live over the years and a real crowd fave!
